Grade Breakdown

There will be two papers, a midterm, and a final in this course. The exam and due dates for the papers are as follows:

Paper 1 (3 pages) October 21, 2002
Midterm November 1, 2002
Paper 2 (5 pages) November 22, 2002
Final Exam December 16, 2002

Paper topics will go out approximately one week before the due date of each paper. All papers are due at the beginning of class on the dates listed above. The percentage value for the assignments is as follows:

Paper 1 10% Final 30%
Paper 2 25% Participation 25%
Midterm 15% Reading Quizzes 15%
