This lecture course focuses on poems and essays on poetry written during the nineteenth century in Britain in order to acquire a sense of this historical period, how Romantic-era and Victorian-era writers influence socio-political dreams and realities, and how they see poetry as both effective and distinctive in its methods of transformation.
