What is love? What is loss? In this seminar we’ll read four novels by contemporary women writers Toni Morrison, Nicole Krause, Ann Patchett, and Elena Ferrante in relation to modern theories of attachment to consider how the novel’s representations of love and loss help us better understand and bear our attachments to others.
