An investigation of avant-garde poetics of the twentieth century. We read theorists as poets and vice versa, bridging the gap between theory and practice, poetry and ideology. Readings include Ludwig Wittgenstein, Walter Benjamin, Gertrude Stein, Ezra Pound, Susan Howe, and Charles Bernstein.
