This seminar explores poetry’s ambiguous relations with globalization or cultural mobility. With a focus on English-language poetry’s interactions with other national languages, regional dialects, and translocal pidgins, this course studies the various forms in which such translingual interactions take place and their implications for our discourse and practice of globalization.
