Play A Gest of Robin Hood with friends at this Medieval Literature Center event! Players compete against each other in a board game structured around the tension between Justice and Order, “set against the historical backdrop of peasant revolt, feudal taxation, and rural banditry in 12th-century England,” with Robin Hood and his friends providing its main characters! Players will join one of two teams: one team of robbers in Robin Hood’s Merry Band, and one team of deputies/henchpeople working for the Sheriff of Nottingham. The game is fun and competitive, and provides a structure for learning to play as we go, so feel free to drop by with no board game experience at all! Snacks and drinks will be provided (including gluten-free/vegan).
